Fourth of July Fireworks & Thunderstorms

Do thunderstorms and fireworks make your dog anxious? It is more common than you might think.  Loud noises, car rides, vet and groomer appointments are common sources of anxiety for dogs. Did you know that more dogs go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year? The loud booms, along with big bright flashes of light can be terrifying for dogs, and, many escape their homes and yards trying to get away from it. They become disoriented and traumatized often unable to find their way back home, or, still too afraid to return. Please take the time to make sure your dog is safe and secure preferably in their kennel, or, a quiet room with the door closed. Dogs who would not normally run out of entry doors, dig out, or, jump fences will do whatever they can to flee the scary noises. Be sure your fence is secure and gates are locked if you must leave your dog outside. We have recently learned of a new product that really helps calm anxiety in dogs. It also helps dogs with arthritis, pain, inflammation, seizure disorders, senior dog discomforts, and, also helps stimulate appetite. It is called Treatibles, and, it is made from CBD oil derived from the hemp plant. It is 100% legal, and, completely safe. We have had incredibly positive feedback from our clients who have purchased it for their dogs with separation anxiety,  pain, and storm anxiety among other ailments. We have been told the difference is like night and day for their dogs who would normally be in full panic mode to be laying there calm and relaxed. We are excited about the potential broad spectrum benefits of Treatibles to help dogs live a more comfortable life. We are please to carry it in our Pet Boutique, and, would love to visit with you about it and answer any questions you may have. We have a limited supply of samples available. For more information and testimonials, you can go to their website at www.treatibles.com  Charlotte and the staff at Need Us Bark Us would like to wish you all a very safe and happy Fourth of July!!

Woof, woof, woof!!!
The dog days of summer are here! In these hot temperatures, be sure to keep your dogs well hydrated and provide them shade from the sun when left outside in your yard. Don't ever leave your dog alone in a hot car, or, locked in a kennel in the heat. It doesn't take long at all to suffer from heat stroke, which can lead to death. Fleas and ticks are already out in full force this summer due to our unusually warm winter. Take precautions to protect your dogs and family from flea, tick, and, mosquito bites this summer. These parasites can carry debilitating Lyme Disease, West Nile Virus, and, Heart Worm. We recommend treating your yard with a product like Seven Dust, and, using a preventative on your dog such as Liberty 50 topical, which, we carry in our boutique, or, a topical/pill/chewable preventative available from your veterinarian, both of which protect your dog for 30 days at a time.
We have  lots of fun, new toys for summer and pool time fun in our boutique! Durable and adorable floating fish, googly eyed critters, and, more! Come see our great new selection of collars and matching accessories for you and your best friend. We now carry CBD Treatibles for dogs, which, we have had a lot of excellent feedback on, and, we are excited to be able to offer it to our clients with dogs who suffer from Arthritis, pain, inflammation, seizures, anxiety, and, other issues. Stop in to see us and we will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Our Self Serve Treat Bar has been a huge success! We have had so much fun sharing all the new treats with our furry friends! All treat bar treats are  100% natural, made in the USA, and, all bakery treats are made with 100% natural human grade ingredients.
Due to an increased demand for appointments, staffing shortage, and, it being our busy time of the year, appointments are getting harder to schedule. We suggest calling well in advance to schedule an appointment if you are not a VIP member, or, set up for Time to Time appointments. Accordingly, it takes us longer to return phone calls. Although we do our best to return your call in a timely manner and at least let you know that we will call you as soon as possible, it may be later in the afternoon, or, the following morning before we get back to you.
Thank-you, so much to our long time loyal clients and friends as well as our new ones, and, to our friends we haven't met yet! Have a great summer, y'all!!
